Project Initiation

A brief is formed by outlining key objectives, assessing design and construction programs, and setting the intention for the project ahead. This phase includes our Design Session, where we listen intently to your needs and wants, forming an understanding of how you wish to live, including your personal, family and social rituals. From here, we set the foundation for a home that will be perfectly tailored to you.

Schematic Design

Our first creative phase is about gathering and refining ideas in response to the brief to develop a unique design concept (scheme) for your home. Importantly, we’ll create a strategy to maximise the use and liveability of your home through rigorous masterplanning. We’ll also offer imagery that represents the aesthetic direction for the project, then dive into the fun part: selecting colours and materials.

Design Development

Here you’ll see our schematic ideas translated into a clear visual design solution. We’ll create a preliminary drawing package that clearly communicates the design intent across joinery, finishes, fittings and lighting. This package will visualise where all your items will be placed, allowing you to form a clear picture of your home.

Construction Documentation

Here, we resolve exactly how your plans will be built through detailed drawings and digital 3D models. These become the comprehensive instructions that builders and manufacturers need to get the job done. Everything is to code and sufficient for building permits and certifications.

Tender

At this stage, we find the very best builder to suit your project’s needs. We have the tough conversations on your behalf and analyse prices alongside budget and project objectives. Changes may be made to the design to ensure we’re hitting the right numbers, or we might discuss raising the budget for those must-have items.

Construction Admin

During this stage, we will liaise directly with builders, trades and architects. We’ll resolve any issues that might arise during construction, and we’ll be on site to oversee development and ensure the design comes together perfectly.

Curation

At this point, the finish line is nigh, and we’re ready to have some serious fun. The final stage to complete your home involves sourcing furniture, art and objects from our wonderful suppliers here and abroad, or designing custom, project-specific furniture for the perfect fit. Initial ideas will be translated into itemised and costed specifications, drawings will be produced to explain what will go where. A showroom product list is created, allowing you to visit, feel, sit and test each item. Once you’re happy with the selections, we’ll finalise the schedule and budget.

Procurement

Once your product curation is final, we take care of the nitty-gritty – preparing and placing orders, approving finishes and ensuring that every payment has been received and recorded. Our wonderful suppliers then create and ship your items. We oversee the coordination of all orders, track deliveries – including managing those fragile and oversized items that require special attention – quality control all items, and resolve any defects. Finally, the moment we’ve all been waiting for: arranging each beautiful item in your home, just so, and adding final touches before stepping back and taking in the result.

Celebrate and Review

Lastly, we’ll reveal your meticulously finished home, room by room. We’ll take time to evaluate the project, identify any opportunities for additional styling, and provide all product details, warranty and care instructions for future reference.
